Miss Peregrines for peculiar children

Miss peregrines home for peculiar  children.

Ransom Riggs' novel "miss peregrines home for peculiar children" is the first novel in his 3 novels, is the journey through the young mind of Jacob Portman, a 16 year old male from Florida.
After the loss of someone close to him he began to look for answers,  why? had he lost him, he asks himself this over and over again until he begins to search for actual answers.
He never use to believe the bleak fairy tales that his Grandfather told him about the mysterious children's home in the middle of a island in wales.

Riggs takes you on a journey through Jacob Portmans mind, his life told y him, his thoughts and feelings, Riggs also brings in so many lovable characters into these stories.

Although i highly recommend this book to anyone who is up for a page turner, long nights and burning eyes from not wanting to put down this book, then this is the book for you.
This book for me has become one of my favourites and although left on a cliffhanger, his other books are already out so i do suggest buying them all at once.

He brings in a very interesting cast of characters; Emma Bloom, Jacob's love interest but she also courageous, unbelievably stubborn but also kind and caring towards her other family in the home
Millard; His character is brought out so much more in the book rather than the film, which is sad because he is one of my favourite characters in this whole book...did i forget to mention he's invisible...Bronwyn, who is the strongest out of them all...and not just mentally, her peculiarity stood out to me as one of the greatest, although like Millard her characterisation, it is shown so much more through the book rather than the film, she has a strong head, she is all around a lovely character.

It feels you come to know these characters as they were old childhood friends. Jacobs narrative voice is wonderful. he is serious, but is also witty also at times, which makes for an engaging read. Sometimes i forget that i am even reading and it not a real-life account..

i honestly adore this book, and i really do recommend it to everyone, this book get 5* in my opinion

Have a great 2017 bumble bees...
